There are those performers that you will seek out over and over again. In New Orleans you usually get to meet them, maybe even have a drink and share a story, but you don’t always get to combine events with them. Both Aaron and I are really excited for the opportunity to share some space with Helen Gillet at the Santa Fe Restaurant on April 21st. It’s going to be a night of signing books, delicious food, and spectacular music played by Helen. Alright, while trying not to fanboy out, we’ll just add that seeing her perform takes you to another world. So if you love the beautiful sounds of a cello attached to a lovely singing voice, then this night will not only bring you the wonders of Desdemona’s Dreams, but will also give you some of the background that I listened to while writing it.
